Hi Kevin,
Here are the Q4 numbers we discussed. Revenue is up 18% and we're under budget on infrastructure.
Can we go through the hiring plan on Thursday?
— Ingrid
Everything you use in Outlook. Faster.
Built for people who live in their inbox — and switched off by the new Outlook.
Feels like Outlook
Folders, the reading pane, Reply/Reply all/Forward and Outlook keyboard shortcuts work the way you already know. Nothing to relearn.
Microsoft 365 that just works
Sign in with Microsoft. Sends through Microsoft Graph, so it works even where IT has turned off SMTP — the default in new tenants.
Native and fast
A real desktop app built in Rust, not a website in a window. Your mail lives on your computer, so lists scroll and search instantly.
Your signature, imported
BoltSweep finds the signature you already use in your sent mail — logo, formatting and all — and asks “Is this your signature?”
Drafts that follow you
Drafts are saved in your Drafts folder on the server, so they show up in Outlook, on your phone and everywhere else.
Inbox control
Pin, flag, filter (unread, flagged, files), sort, favourites, multi-select with Ctrl and Shift, and undo send with a delay you choose.
Dark mode done right
Emails are recoloured to suit dark mode — grey text becomes readable, white boxes go dark — or flip any message back to its original colours.
Push, not polling
New mail arrives the moment it lands, using IMAP IDLE. Desktop notifications when the window is in the background.
Windows, macOS and Linux
The same app on all three, including full Microsoft 365 support on Linux — where there is no Outlook at all.

Bring your own AI
Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini — in your inbox.
Connect the assistant you already pay for, or a local model with Ollama. No AI subscription from us, no limits from us. Your assistant drafts — you decide what gets sent.
How the AI email client works →- MCP server
Claude Desktop, Cursor and other MCP apps can search and read your mail — locally, with your permission.
- Summaries and reply draftsComing soon
One click to summarise a long thread or draft a reply in your tone.
- Sending stays yours
AI can never send on its own: it writes drafts, you press Send.
Private by design.
Your email is between you and your provider. That’s it.
No cloud in the middle
BoltSweep talks straight to your mail provider. We never see your mail or your password — there is no BoltSweep server to see it.
Passwords in your keychain
Credentials are stored in the operating system’s keychain (Windows Credential Manager, macOS Keychain, Secret Service).
Trackers blocked
Remote images and tracking pixels are blocked by default, and every email is shown in a locked-down sandbox with no scripts.
No ads. Ever.
Not in the free version, not anywhere. You are the customer, not the product.

Questions
Is BoltSweep a replacement for Outlook?+
For email, yes. BoltSweep keeps the Outlook layout and shortcuts, works with Microsoft 365, Outlook.com and Exchange Online, and adds things like a faster search, a cleaner design and bring-your-own AI. Calendar, contacts and tasks are on the way.
Does it work with Microsoft 365 and Exchange?+
Yes. Sign in with your Microsoft account. BoltSweep reads mail over IMAP with modern authentication (OAuth) and sends through Microsoft Graph, so it works in tenants that have SMTP authentication turned off.
Is there Outlook for Linux?+
Microsoft does not make Outlook for Linux. BoltSweep is a native Linux email client with full Microsoft 365 support. It will ship as AppImage, .deb, .rpm and Flatpak.
Does BoltSweep read my email?+
No. Your mail goes directly between your computer and your provider. BoltSweep has no servers that store or relay email, and your passwords stay in your operating system’s keychain.
Can I use Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini with my email?+
Yes — with your own account or API key, so there are no extra limits from us. BoltSweep includes an MCP server that lets AI assistants search and read your mail, and an AI panel for summaries and reply drafts is coming. Sending is always up to you.
How much does it cost?+
There is a free plan for one account, without ads. Pro adds unlimited accounts and the advanced features. Early-access users get launch pricing.
Which email providers are supported?+
Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, Exchange Online, Gmail, iCloud Mail, Fastmail, Yahoo and any provider with IMAP and SMTP.
